Founded in January 2018 by Joni Renee Whitworth in Portland, Oregon, Future Prairie is an artist collective led by women and queer creatives. We develop and mentor emerging and under-represented artists. We also produce a monthly podcast, host a quarterly variety show, and curate exhibitions, panels, performances, and published works that feature historically-marginalized groups such as women, disabled, racial, ethnic, gender, and sexual minorities, and low-income individuals.
